These second-generation black pearl basecoats, available in Cortez Blue Pearl and Lime Cherry Pearl, come in 4-ounce ready-to-spray cans and 16-ounce cans.

The Shimrin2 Designer Pearls can be mixed at a ratio of 2 parts PBC (pearl basecoat) to 1 part reducer, although a 1:1 ratio is recommended for easier control, especially with lighter-shaded PBCs. These designer pearls can be top-coated with either acrylic lacquer or urethane enamels from House of Kolor's line of clear coats.

For a Kandy Coat (optional), the Shimrin2 Designer Pearls can be Kandied with either acrylic lacquer or urethane enamel. If using acrylic lacquer for the Kandy Coat, the final clear coat must also be an acrylic lacquer. Similarly, if using urethane enamel for the Kandy Coat, the final clear coat must be a urethane enamel.
